5. Lab 5: Project - Entity Framework & Azure

In this lab you will implement the data layer using Entity Framework and Azure.

5.1 Preparation

• Read and understand the chapters Entity Framework and Web.
• Finalize the functions of your application.
• One of the team creates an account on Azure.
• Install Azure Toolkit for Rider.
• Choose your data storage in the cloud¹.

5.2 During the lab

• Sprint Review of all teams.
• Add your data model to your application.
• After 80 min of lab start: Sprint Review of all teams.

• Follow the instructions to publish to Azure, see Connect to and query Azure SQL Database using .NET and Entity Framework Core.

• After 60 min: Sprint Review of all teams.

• You assign your issues.

5.3 After the lab

• Finalize your application.
• Implement reasonable unit tests, each team member implements one.
